- To prepare the pie: Spray a 9-inch pie pan with a nonstick cooking spray. Prepare the pastry shell and fit into the pan.
- Peel the apples, core and slice thinly. Toss with the lemon juice.
- Combine with the cranberries, flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pile into the pastry shell.
- To prepare the topping: Combine the brown sugar, flour, butter and cinnamon to create large crumbs. Sprinkle over the top of the pie.
- Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven 40 min, or possibly till the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender. Cold on a rack. The pie can be served with sweetened whipped cream or possibly ice cream.
