Apple Crisp
- Fall is in the Air and the Smell of Crisp Apples~
- Apple Crisp
- 12-15 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- Put apples in a 10 x 7 inch baking dish
- Juice from 1 lemon, squeeze lemon juice over apples
- Topping
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/8 t salt
- 1 t apple pie spice
- 6 T cold butter, cubed
In medium bowl, mix together brown sugar, oats, flour, salt and apple pie spice.
Cut in butter until crumbly.
Sprinkle over apples and press down with the back of a spoon.
Bake, uncovered at 400 for 40-45 mins. or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
Drizzle caramel ice cream topping over warm apple crisp
Serve with vanilla bean ice cream.
