Ingredientes

  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 2 c. Apples, peeled, minced
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1 pkt Dates, minced (8 ounce)
  • 1 3/4 c. All-purpose or possibly unbleached, flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 c. Margarine or possibly butter
  • 1 c. Brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 1/2 c. Rolled oats

Direcciones

  1. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, apples, water and dates. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cook till thickened, about 10 min, stirring occasionally. Cold slightly.
  2. Heat oven to 375 F. Grease and flour 13x9-inch pan. Lightly spoon flour into measuring c.; leel off. In large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. With pastry blender or possibly fork, cut in margarine till mix is crumbly. Add in brown sugar and rolled oats; mix well.
  3. Press 3 c. of mix proportionately in greased and floured pan. Spread proportionately with filling.
  4. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mix; press lightly. Bake at 375 F for 18 to 28 min or possibly till golden.
  5. Cold; cut into bars.
  6. Makes 36 bars.
