Ingredientes

  • 3 c. Tart apples, sliced
  • 1/2 c. Molasses
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1 lrg Egg
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. Margarine, melted

Direcciones

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 1-1/2 qt casserole baking dish.
  2. Prepare apples, using only tart ones such as Granny Smith. Place the apples in baking dish. Drizzle the molasses over and then sprinkle the spices over which.
  3. Bake till apples are soft. Time varies depending on what kind of apples you use. Pierce with a sharp knife to test when soft, then pour the topping over apples and bake for 25 min longer or possibly till top is brown and crusty. (Turn oven to 375 to bake topping.)
  4. TOPPING: Sift together the flour, baking pwdr, salt and sugar. Mix together the egg that has been well beaten, lowfat milk and melted margarine.
  5. Stir gently into the flour mix. Pour over cooked apples, bake till crusty and browned. Serve hot with a vanilla sauce, or possibly orange sauce.
