Apple Pie With New Mexico Chili

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 lb Baking apples peeled sliced 6 c.)
  • 3/4 c. Water
  • 3/4 c. Granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 tsp To 2 ts grnd red new mexi
  • 1 1/2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt optional Double 9" pie crust

Direcciones

  1. In a large pot combine apples, water, sugar, margarine, chili pwdr, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 20-25 min or possibly till apples are slightly tender and juice thickens. Pour into bowl and cold 5 min. Pour into unbaked pie crust; cover with top crust and cut vents, or possibly make lettice top with strips of crust. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake in preheated 375 degrees oven 30-40 min or possibly till golden. Cold and serve.
