Ingredientes

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c. chilled butter, diced
  • 2 x egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 1/4 lb Golden brown Delicious Apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/4 in. slices
  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 400.Sift flour, 1/2 c sugar, and salt into large bowl. Cut in butter to coarse crumbs. Mix in egg yolks. Remove 1/4 of mix and set aside.
  2. Press remainder onto bottom and sides of 8 in. tart shell or possibly pie pan.
  3. In large bowl combine apples, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Place apples into crust and sprinkle top with remaining crumb mix.
  5. Place on baking sheet and bake 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and continue baking 20 minutes.
  6. 8 servings.
