Ingredientes

  • ½ C. Shortening
  • 1 C. Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ t. Maple syrup
  • 1 C. Seedless raisins
  • ¾ C. Chopped nuts
  • 2 ½ C. Flour, sifted
  • 1 ¼ t. Soda
  • 1 ¼ t. Salt
  • ½ t. Nutmeg
  • ½ t. Allspice
  • 1 t. Cinnamon
  • 1 ¼ C. Applesauce
  • 2 T. Powdered Sugar

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a tube pan.
  2. Cream shortening well, then slowly add sugar beating until fluffy. Beat in the egg. Stir in the flour, raisins and nuts. Blend well.
  3. Blend the sifted flour, soda, salt, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon. Mix this alternately with the applesauce, beating after each addition.
  4. Bake 1 hour.
  5. Cool and remove from pan. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the top of the cake.
