Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. Sweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 pkt (8 ozs.) pitted dates, sliced
  • 4 ounce Minced pecans
  • 1/2 lb Red cherries, halved
  • 1/2 lb Green cherries, halved
  • 2 c. Raisins
  • 2 1/4 c. All-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Allspice
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Direcciones

  1. Grease and flour a tube pan and set aside. Combine applesauce, shortening and sugar together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; boil for 5 min, stirring occasionally. Combine fruit and nuts in a large bowl, adding flour, soda, salt and spices and stir together. Mix in cooked mix till well moistened. Pour into the prepared pan and bake at 275 degrees for 2 hrs or possibly till done.
  2. Cold on a wire rack for 10 min. Remove from pan and cold completely.
  3. Yield:1 fruitcake
