Ingredientes

  • 2 x Fish steaks, about 1" thick salmon or possibly tuna
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 2 x Garlic cloves
  • 1 pch five spice pwdr
  • 1 Tbsp. Finely minced ginger
  • 1/2 x Lemon, juice of
  • 2 sm Spring onions
  • 100 gm Jasmine rice
  • 6 x Cardamom pods, up to 7
  • 1 x Garlic clove, minced Fresh coriander, finely minced

Direcciones

  1. Oriental fish steaks: Combine all the ingredients except the fish in a food processor till they form a thick paste.
  2. Grill the fish steaks for approximately 4 min on one side. Turn and coat with the oriental paste and grill for a further 4 to 5 min till the fish is fairly hard but still juicy.
  3. Fragrant rice: Wash the rice thoroughly. Put the rice, cardamom and minced garlic in a pan and cover with water. Bring to the boil over a medium heat, stir once then lower the heat and gently simmer. Cover the pan tightly and cook gently for 8 to 10 min.
  4. Remove from the heat, drain and remove the cardamom pods. Stir in the minced coriander and serve with the oriental fish steaks.
