Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Asparagus, fresh
  • 1 med Onion, sliced
  • 5 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour, all-purpose
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 x 3oz package Cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, mild, shredded
  • 1 c. Bread crumbs, fresh

Direcciones

  1. Cut asparagus into 1 inch pcs. In a skillet, saute/fry the asparagus and onion in 1tbsp. butter till crisp/tender. Transfer to ungreased 1 1/2 quart baking dish. In saucepan, heat 2 tbsp butter, add in flour and stir till smoot.Add in lowfat milk and cook till thickened and smooth. Add in cream cheese, salt and pepper. Pour over vegetables. Sprinkle with cheese. Heat remaining butter and toss with bread crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake uncovered at 350 for 35-40 min or possibly till heated through.
