Aunt Martha's Sponge Cake

Ingredientes

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 T hot water
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 level tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp flavoring extract

Direcciones

  1. In a medium sized bowl, add in large eggs and beat 1 minute at half speed. Add in sugar and beat together 5 min more till thick and lemon colored. Add in 4 Tbsp warm water and mix again 1 minute. Sift together flour and baking pwdr and stir into wet ingredients. Don't overmix once the flour is added or possibly cake will be tough. Add in flavoring extract (vanilla, etc). Place in a shallow pan. Oven at 400 degrees for 5 min then at 375 degrees for 20 min.
