  • 4 CUPS FLOUR
  • 1 TBL. SUGAR
  • 1 Tsp. SALT
  • 1 Tsp. BAKING POWDER
  • 1 EGG BEATEN
  • 1/2 CUP WATER
  • 3 TBL. LEMON JUICE
  • Filling:
  • BROWN SUGAR - 1 TBL. PER APPLE
  • CINNAMON - 1 PINCH PER APPLE
  • BUTTER - 1/4 C. PER APPLE
  • Sauce:
  • 2 CUPS WATER
  • 2 TBL. BUTTER
  • 1 Tsp. CINNAMON

  1. MIX PASTRY INGREDIENTS, CUT WITH FORK UNTIL NO LONGER STICKY.
  2. DIVIDE DOUGH - 10 BALLS-ROLL EACH BALL INTO CRUST LARGE ENOUGH TO COMPLETELY COVER APPLE IN CENTER.
  3. PUT IN BROWN SUGAR, CINNAMON, AND BUTTER. WRAP PASTRY AROUND APPLE,PRESS CLOSED AT TOP.PLACE IN
  4. SHALLOW BAKING PAN...BAKE 350 DEGREES - 25 MINUTES
  5. COMBINE SAUCE INGREDIENTS and cook GENTLY 3 MINS. OVER medium heat. POUR OVER DUMPLINGS then BAKE 475 DEGREES for 5 TO 7 minutes.
