Avacado Spinach Grilled Cheese

This is so buttery, toasty and yummy for a great meal any time of the year. Get creative and add veggies like tomato or asparagus to kick it up a notch!

Ingredientes

  • 2 slices of your favorite bread, I used a wheat or a panini style
  • Little bit of olive oil to spread onto bread
  • Fresh baby spinach leaves (or tomato/other veggies)
  • 1/2 of a ripe avocado, sliced
  • 2 slices of cheese, I use fresh mozzarella or cheddar

Direcciones

  1. Heat skillet on medium heat.
  2. Spread a thin layer of oil over one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Add slices of cheese to each slice of bread. Top with spinach and avocado.
  4. Fold together to create a sandwich.
  5. Place in heated skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side. I put another heavy pan on top of the sandwich to make it a pressed sandwich, like a panini.
  6. Serve warm with a fresh salad!
