Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp grnd nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 x egg, beaten
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. grated raw apple
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. melted butter

Direcciones

  1. Sift together flour, baking pwdr, salt, nutmeg and 1/2 c. sugar. Cut in shortening till mix is fine. Mix together egg, lowfat milk and apple. Add in to dry mix and mix quickly. Pour batter into greased muffin tins in that an individual muffin containermeasures 2 1/2 inches across and 1 1/4 inches deep. Fill tins 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 min or possibly till golden. For the topping, combine the 1/3 c. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon in a shallow bowl. When doughnuts are done baking, immediately remove from pans and roll in the melted butter, then in the sugar-cinnamon mix.
