Baked Cherry Dessert Cake

Ingredientes

  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar (caster)
  • 1 c. flour, plain
  • 1 tsp yeast, dry
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 500 gm cherries, fresh

Direcciones

  1. Beat the Large eggs and sugar together, slowly add in the flour then the yeast, mix well. Add in sufficient lowfat milk to make a batter about the same consistency as a pancake batter (not too thin).
  2. Leave batter to sit for 15 min.
  3. Remove stems and stones from cherries.
  4. Butter a flan dish and pour in the batter. Arrange the cherries on top.
  5. Bake in a warm oven 190C/380F for about 35 min till golden.
  6. Dust with sugar and serve warm or possibly cool with cream and/or possibly ice-cream.
  7. Ideal summer dessert when fresh cherries are available.
