Receta Baked Eggs Recipe – Learn to Cook Series
by Stephanie Manley

The third video of my learn to cook series is baked eggs. If cooking eggs sounds intimidating, I promise it isn’t. This recipe came from my old home economics book from junior, and I promise, this is an easy recipe to make that you will love. These baked eggs are a great recipe for breakfast.

So we have all heard of fried eggs, or scrambled eggs, but have you heard of a baked egg? This has to be one of the easiest ways to make eggs. It is also one of the tastiest way to make eggs. I have to tell you that this recipe has endless possibilities. You can make these with butter, you could use heavy whipping cream, some people even use things like left over pasta sauce to bake the eggs. For this recipe we will stick to the simplest version of these eggs.

Basically you are going to let the eggs cook in the oven in a bit of butter. This recipe only takes about 10 – 15 minutes to make. So this is a perfect recipe to make when you are trying to get out of the door in the morning, and want to save some money by making breakfast at home. The eggs are seasoned with a little bit of salt and pepper, and if you make a bit of toast you will have a hearty breakfast in no time.

If you wanted to get fancy with this recipe you could sprinkle some fresh herbs on these eggs when you remove them from the oven. Fresh herbs I would recommend would be a little parsley, or even chives.

Preheat an oven to 325 degrees. Use a small dish to bake the eggs in. Melt the butter you can do this by placing the dish you will cook the eggs in the oven while it heats to the proper temperature. Crack two eggs into the dish gently so not to break the yolk. Season with salt and pepper. Bake eggs in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes. I recommend serving these with toast.
