Baked Finnan Haddie (Smoked Haddock)

Ingredientes

  • 1/4 c. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 2 c. Lowfat milk salt and pepper
  • 2 lb Finnan haddie*
  • 1/2 c. Bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter, melted Lemon slices Parsley

Direcciones

  1. Finnan Haddie is smoked Haddock.
  2. Make a thin white sauce by combining the butter, flour, lowfat milk and salt and pepper in the top of a double boiler. (combine the butter and flour into a paste, cook slightly before adding lowfat milk). Place the fish in a greased pan and pour the white sauce over it. Cover and simmer very gently for half an hour, basting as necessary. Sprinkle with bread crumbs that have been mixed with the melted butter. Bake in a warm oven for 15 min. Remove it to a warm platter and garnish with parsley and lemon. SERVES:6
