Ingredientes

  • 1 Tbsp. light sesame oil
  • 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 c. diced butternut squash
  • 1 c. steel-cut oats
  • 3 Tbsp. sage leaves (rubbed if dry, chopped if fresh)
  • 2 Tbsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 c. water

Direcciones

  1. Heat a heavy-bottomed pit over medium heat. Add in sesame oil and saute/fry onions till they are clear. Add in celery, squash, herbs, and oats and cook about 5 min to seal the edges with oil.
  2. Add in salt and water. Cover and bake in a preheated 350F oven for 30 min or possibly till grain has absorbed all liquid.
