Ingredientes

  • 4 lrg Onions
  • 1 1/2 c. Fine dry bread crumbs (half whole wheat preferred)
  • 1/2 tsp Poultry seasoning
  • 3 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 x Egg (no substitutes please)
  • 1 Tbsp. Water

Direcciones

  1. Slice each onion about 1/4-inch thick and separate into rings. Soak in cool, salted water about 30 min. Drain on paper towels.
  2. Combine bread crumbs, poultry seasoning and Parmesan. In a separate bowl mix egg and water; beat well. Dip onion rings into bread crumb mix, then into egg mix, then into crumbs again. Salt lightly, if you like.
  3. Arrange rings on greased jelly roll pan, cover with foil and bake in a warm oven (400 degrees) for 10 min. Remove foil and continue baking 20 min more, or possibly till crispy. Serve immediately.
