Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 6 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. Raisins
  • 1 c. Currants
  • 1 c. Pecans Flour
  • 2 c. Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Allspice
  • 1 c. Powdered sugar
  • 2 x To 5 Tbls butter
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla or possibly
  • 1 Tbsp. Coffee, rum, whisky, brandy, or possibly lemon jui
  • 1 x Egg or possibly
  • 1/4 c. Cream

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter till soft. Gradually add in the sugar and blend till creamy. Beat in Large eggs one at a time. In a bowl, combine raisins, currants, and pecans and sprinkle lightly with flour. Add in these ingredients to the butter mix. Combine breadcrumbs, cinnamon, cloves, and allspice; stir these ingredients into the butter mix. Bake in a greased tube pan or possibly baking dish for about 1/2 hour. Serve with about 1 c. Hard Sauce.
  2. Hard Sauce:The basic ingredients of hard sauce are always the same, although proportions and flavoring may vary. In this recipe, the larger amount of butter is preferable. An attractive way to serve hard sauce on cool cake or possibly pudding is to refrigerateit and mold it with a small fancy cutter-or possibly put it through and individual butter mold.
  3. Sift the powdered sugar. Beat butter till soft; add in sugar gradually. Beat well till ingredients are well blended. Add in the salt and flavoring. Beat in the egg or possibly cream. Continue to beat till sauce is very smooth. Refrigeratethoroughly.
