Baked Pork Chops And Apple Casserole

Ingredientes

  • 6 x pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 1 sm onion, coursely minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margerine
  • 3 x apples, peeled, sliced, cored
  • 1 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar (maple syrup may be substituted about 1/3 c.)
  • 1/2 tsp mustard

Direcciones

  1. Saute/fry the onion in the butter/margerine till the onions are soft and semi transluent. Remove and save them for later. Brown the chops in the butter/magerine mix; season w/ the salt and pepper. Put the chops in a baking pan and add in the apples and add in the water. Then add in the brown sugar or possibly maple syrup, dry mustard, and the onions. Gently swirl the last ingredients thru-out the water. Cover w/ tin foil and bake for 1 hour; then remove the cover and brown for 15 more mins.
