Ingredientes

  • 2/3 c. Nonfat lowfat milk
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • 2 1/3 c. Flour
  • 1 2/3 c. Sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 x Egg white
  • 1 1/4 c. Mashed very ripe bananas (about 3)
  • 3/4 c. Pureed Dates (replaces 3/4 C. shortening)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 c. Minced walnuts, optional Powdered Sugar, optional

Direcciones

  1. Mix nonfat lowfat milk and vinegar and let stand till thickened. Sift together flour, sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt into mixing bowl. Stir to blend. Lightly beat Large eggs and egg white. Add in to flour mix with bananas, Pureed Dates, soured lowfat milk, vanilla and nuts. Stir just till blended. Pour into 12-c. bundt pan sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray. Bake at 350 degrees F. 45 to 55 min or possibly till cake tests done. Remove to wire rack to cold. If you like, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
  2. Makes 16servings.
  3. Note: In place of nonfat lowfat milk and vinegar, substitute 2/3 c. buttermilk if you like. Banana-Date Cake- Pureed Dates -replaces 3/4 c. shortening.
