To talk about Banana Fritters, this is the most all time favorite snack of my hubby. This is an easy making snack and will be irresistible for all banana lover's out there.

Ingredientes

  • 2 Ripe banana plantain
  • 2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of rice flour
  • 2 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/4 tablespoon of salt (for crispiness )
  • A pinch of Turmeric color (just for the batter to be yellow in color)
  • 1 cup of water (more / less)
  • Oil for deep frying

Direcciones

  1. Place both the flour (all purpose and rice flour) in a wide bowl. Add salt, sugar and turmeric to it. Mix it well. Add water little by little to make a thick batter; make sure lumps don't form. The batter should be like thick cream; not too watery.
  2. Now, cut the plantain into half (lengthwise) and then slice each of them midway (vertically).
  3. Add the sliced plantain into the batter.
  4. Heat oil in a wok. Once the oil is short of smoking hot, add the plantain which is coated with batter.
  5. Fry till it turns golden brown and place it on a paper towel, to drain out excess oil. Serve with a cup of tea/ coffee. ENJOY! :)
