Ingredientes

  • 4 med Ripe mashed bananas
  • 1 1/2 c. Sifted flour
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 c. Minced nuts, (walnuts)
  • 2 x Large eggs, (or possibly 3 large)
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1/4 c. Soft butter or possibly margarine

  1. I've made this a number of times. It solves your query of a banana bread and it also comes from the first SAR (Salanta Akiba Riverdale Academy) cookbook, that also no longer has a cover and I think they might have published a new one. So it's an organization recipe which I like. I will forward some others from the myriad of cookbooks from shuls and schools which I have.
  2. Sift all dry ingredients together -add in bananas nuts, and butter or possibly margerine. Mix well in electric mixer. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  3. Grease square pan. Put a few whole nuts on batter for decoration.
  4. Bake about 1 hour. I usually add in chocolate chips.
