Ingredientes

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp grnd cloves
  • 1/4 c. shortening -- softened
  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. bananas -- mashed
  • 1/2 c. walnuts -- minced
  • 1/3 c. butter or possibly margarine softened
  • 2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon rind -- grated

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees .Sift together flour, cinnamon and cloves.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together shortening, 1/4 c. butter and 1/4 c. brown sugar.
  3. Add in Large eggs and beat till light and fluffy.
  4. Add in sifted ingredients and banana. Mix well.
  5. Mix in walnuts.
  6. Drop batter by tsp. onto greased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake 10-12 min or possibly till well down.
  8. Let cold on wire rack.
  9. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, cream together remaining butter and confectioners sugar.
  10. Add in lemon juice and lemon rind, stirring till icing is of spreading consistency.
  11. Spread tops of cooled cookies with icing.
