Receta Banana Walnut Sourdough Scones
If you like Banana Bread, you will love these wonderful scones.
- 2 1/2 c flour
- 1 c oatmeal, not instant
- 1/3 c packed brown sugar
- 1 T plus 1 t baking powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1/2 t allspice
- 1/2 c butter, cold and cubed
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 T Greek yogurt
- 1/3 c milk
- 2 banana's, mashed
- 1/4 c Banana liqueur
- 1/2 c fed sourdough starter
- 1/2 c chopped walnuts
- Streusel Topping
- 1/4 c oatmeal
- 3/4 c brown sugar
- 3 T flour
- 1/4 t cinnamon
- 1/2 c chopped walnuts
- 1/4 c melted butter
Combine oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, chopped walnuts. Stir in melted butter. Sprinkle streusel topping.
Preheat oven to 425. Line baking pan with parchment paper
In large bowl combine flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and allspice.
Cut cubed cold butter into dry ingredients
In small bowl combine egg, yogurt, milk, bananas, and liqueur. Add to flour mixture, stir
Add sourdough starter and chopped walnuts to flour mixture. Stir just until combined
Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface. Knead 8-10 times. Pat into a 10 inch circle.
Sprinkle with streusel topping
Cut into 8-10 wedges
Place wedges on parchment lined baking sheet
Bake at 425 for 12-15 mins
Remove from oven, transfer scones to a wire rack, cool.
