Receta Bananas Baked In Lemon Sauce

- Preheat oven to gas mark 4 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). You will need a 1.5litre shallow ovenproof dish.
- Begin by whisking the egg and sugar together in a large bowl till the mix becomes pale and thickened.
- Then mix in the sieved cornflour the zest and juice of the lemons and the sherry folding to mix everything well.
- After which peel the bananas and cut them into 2.5cm thick diagonal slices.
- Heat the butter in a fryingpan and when it begins to heat and foam add in the banana slices.
- Turn them over gently in the butter and cook them for a few min till they begin to change colour.
- Then spoon them into the baking dish cover completely with the lemon sauce and add in a generous grating of fresh nutmeg.
- All this can be done ahead of time.
- When you are ready to serve pop them into a pre heated oven bake for 20 min and serve warm.
- Can all be prepared well in advance and just needs popping into the oven 20 min before you need it.
- Serves 4
