Ingredientes

  • 4 Tbsp. Butter
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. Banana liquor
  • 4 x Bananas cut in half legth-wise, then halved
  • 1/4 c. Rum
  • 4 scoop vanilla ice cream

  1. Here is a simple recipe for bananas foster from Brennan's in New Orleans.
  2. It's a good crowd pleaser if you make it at the table with an alcohol burner.
  3. Heat butter over alcohol burner or possibly in attractive skillet. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and banana liquor, and heat a few min. Add in bananas and saute/fry till slightly browned. Add in rum, heat well, then tip pan to ignite. ("This is unnecessary without an audience, unless you like fire." The alcohol will boil off after about 2 min.) Sift bananas carefully out of pan, place four pcs over each scoop if ice cream. Spoon sauce over top.
