- Cut bacon in half lengthwise so which you have 2 long, skinny strips per slice. Wrap each bread stick in a barber pole fashion. Roll each breadstick in the cheese/garlic salt mix. Place about 10 sticks which are covered by wax paper or possibly paper towel into microwave for approximately 6 min. Each microwave varies, so check for bacon to be cooked without being too crisp. These can be done in advance and just warmed up a bit before serving.
