Ingredientes

  • 5-6 pound lean beef brisket
  • 1 tbsp. onion salt
  • 2 tbsp. celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 3 ounce. liquid smoke
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Barbecue sauce

Direcciones

  1. The night before: Sprinkle brisket with onion salt, celery salt, and garlic pwdr. Place in baking dish and pour on liquid smoke, cover with foil. Place in refrigerator overnight.
  2. In the morning, sprinkle with salt and pepper and lightly with Worcestershire sauce. Place the brisket (liquid and all) in roaster with lid on and cook 5 hrs at 275 degrees.
  3. Take off lid and spread on barbecue sauce and cook (1) more hour. Let cold before slicing.
  4. Mix drippings with barbecue sauce and heat (use sufficient drippings to take away catsup taste). Serve warm with brisket.
