Barbecued Indonesian Pork Satay

Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Pork loin, leg or possibly shoulder, boneless, cut in 1/2" cubes
  • 1/4 c. Brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 1/4 c. Soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Dark molasses
  • 1/8 tsp Grnd coriander
  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 c. Onion, chopped
  • 1 x Clove (small) garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Ginger root, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh lime juice Wooden skewers

Direcciones

  1. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and water; simmer till sugar dissolves. Increase heat; cook till a syrup forms. Add in soysauce, molasses, coriander and pepper, simmer 4 min and cold.
  2. Combine mix with onion, garlic, gingerroot, lime juice and Pork. Cover and marinate in refrigerator 2 hrs.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 min. Thread Pork onto skewers.
  4. Barbecue or possibly broil with low heat 8 to 10 min to medium doneness, basting occasionally with marinade.
  5. Serving Ideas : Serve over rice
