Ingredientes

  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1 lg. onion, diced (1 c.)
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 c. diced pared raw carrots
  • 1 c. diced pared with turnip
  • 1/2 c. barley
  • 1 env. instant beef broth
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 c. water

Direcciones

  1. Shape grnd beef into a large patty in a kettle or possibly Dutch oven; brown 5 min on each side, then break up into chunks; push to one side.
  2. Stir onion and celery into kettle; saute/fry just till soft. Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boiling; cover.
  3. Simmer 1 hour or possibly till barely tender. Ladle into soup plates or possibly small bowls.
