Ingredientes

  • 2 Tbsp. Margarine
  • 1/4 c. Diced onions
  • 1/4 tsp Salt, (I think the salt is not necessary)
  • 1 can (14 ounce) sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. Barley
  • 1 can Chicken broth, (13 3/4 ounce) or possibly chicken broth pwdr to taste

  2. Heat margarine in 1&1/2 qt casserole. Add in onions and cook till wilted.
  3. Add in broth to measuring c. and add in liquid from mushrooms till total liquid measures 2 c., and add in to onions. Add in mushrooms, barley and salt(). Bake uncovered at 350 fahrenheit, stirring several times, for 1 hour. Cover very tightly and bake 1/2 hour more. Notes: I always double this recipe. I am generous with the onions, mushrooms and chicken pwdr flavoring and it goes like wildfire.
