Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 lrg onion diced
  • 1 c. diced celery - (to 2 c.)
  • 12 c. toasted 1/2" bread cubes
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. dry sage (or possibly 1/4 c. chopped fresh sage)
  • 1/2 c. minced parsley
  • 1 c. turkey stock (or possibly 1 c. water or possibly lowfat milk)

Direcciones

  1. Heat butter in large stockpot. Add in onion and celery and cook till vegetables are tender but not browned. Add in to bread cubes in large bowl. Add in salt, pepper, sage and parsley and toss till well mixed. Add in turkey stock and blend well.
  2. Bake any excess stuffing in lightly greased casserole at 325 degrees till heated through, about 45 min to 1 hour.
  3. This recipe yields sufficient to stuff a 12- to 14-lb. turkey, about 10 to 12 servings.
