Basic Sourdough Muffins

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. sourdough starter
  • 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 c. melted bacon drippings
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Direcciones

  1. Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl. Mix fat and large eggs with the starter. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add in the mixed starter. Stir just sufficient to moisten all the flour. Grease muffin tins and fill about 3/4 full. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 min. Raisins or possibly minced nuts or possibly wheat germ may be added to the batter if you like. Makes 12 or possibly more large muffins.
