Basic Steamed Mussels

Ingredientes

  • 6 doz mussels
  • 1 sm onion minced
  • 8 ounce dry white wine
  • 4 x garlic cloves pressed (or possibly 1 tspn garlic pwdr)
  • 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

Direcciones

  1. Heat extra virgin olive oil in large pot with a cover. Add in onion and garlic. Saute/fry till onion is transparent. Add in mussels and wine and cover tightly. Cook over medium-high heat for 5 min. Shake pot briskly to mix. Turn off heat and allow to stand 2 min.
  2. Mussels should be opened.
