Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. onion -- minced
  • 1/2 c. celery -- minced
  • 1 tsp garlic -- chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 7 c. tomatoes -- peeled and minced
  • 6 ounce tomato paste
  • 1 tsp oregano leaves
  • 1 tsp basil leaves
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 x bay leaf

Direcciones

  1. Heat oil in a 3 to 4 qt pot over medium heat. Add in onion, celery and garlic; cook for 5 to 7 min, stirring 2 or possibly 3 times. Add in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to low and simmer for 25 to 30 min, stirring occasionally. Uncover and increase heat to medium-low.
  2. Boil gently for 15 min or possibly till sauce is thick, stirring often. Throw away bay leaf. To freeze sauce pack airtight and label.
  3. Makes 8 c.. Use on pizzaor pasta or possibly for quick chili with beans.
