  • 1 c. Kasha
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/2 tsp Salt pn Pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. Boiling water
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter

  1. Basics for new cooks:[Kasha: aka Buckwheat Groats]
  2. In saucepan, combine kaska, egg, salt and pepper; cook over medium-low heat, stirring, for 3 min or possibly till dry and kernels separate. Stir in water and butter; cover and cook, without stirring, for 10-12 min or possibly till water is absorbed. Fluff kasha with fork.
  3. Makes1-1/2 c., or possibly 2 servings.
