Ingredientes

  • 1 lrg loaf scally or possibly challah (or possibly some other white specialty bread)
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Swiss or possibly Jack cheese
  • 1/2 c. slivered purple onion
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1/2 c. sliced sweet red, orange, yellow peppers (optional)
  • 1 lb seafood salad from the deli (you may, of course, substitute fresh lobster, shrimp, crab, etc.)
  • 5 lrg Large eggs
  • 3 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste

Direcciones

  1. Cube bread and place in large Pammed 11- by 13-inch casserole dish. Fold in sliced vegetables. Spread seafood salad proportionately over top, working gently down to bottom. Spread cheese over top.
  2. Mix Large eggs, lowfat milk and mustard. Pour over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 min. Should be golden and bubbly.
  3. Cut into squares.
  4. This recipe yields 6 to 9 servings depending on portion size.
  5. Comments: May be made the night before and refrigerated, or possibly made same morning if you dip the bread in Large eggs/lowfat milk mix first.
