Ingredientes

  • 1 1/4 lb green beans
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric salt, to taste
  • 1 c. toor dal, cleaned and soaked, for 1/2 hour
  • 3 x red chiles
  • 4 x green chiles
  • 1 sprg curry leaves, (a few)
  • 1/4 tsp asafetida
  • 1 Tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tsp black mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp black gram dal
  • 2 x red chiles, broken
  • 1 Tbsp. coconut oil

Direcciones

  1. Heat oil and mustard seeds, black gram dal and red chiles. When brown, add in beans (cut into 1/2 cm. pcs), salt and turmeric. Cook till done. If there is any excess water, remove it. Grind toor dal to a coarse paste adding green chiles, red chiles, curry leaves and asafetida.
  2. Heat one Tbsp. oil and add in grnd paste. Cook on a low fire till dry.
  3. Break up the dal with a fork and add in the cooked vegetables. Cook on a low fire till dry. Serve warm.
  4. You can substitute cabbage for the beans.
