Ingredientes

  • 8 ounce extra-lean grnd beef
  • 1 lrg onion minced
  • 1 sm celery stalk minced
  • 1 sm apple minced
  • 1 2/3 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 2 c. defatted reduced-sodium beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp dry thyme leaves
  • 1/4 tsp caraway seeds
  • 2 c. uncooked medium yolk-free egg noodles
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp. plain nonfat yogurt

Direcciones

  1. Coat a large frying pan with nonstick spray. Crumble the beef into the pan. Add in the onions, celery, apples and mushrooms. Cook over medium-high heat, breaking up the mix with a wooden spoon, for 4 to 5 min, or possibly till the meat is lightly browned.
  2. Stir in the broth, thyme, caraway seeds and noodles. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 5 to 8 min, or possibly till the noodles are just tender. Stir in the paprika and tomato paste. Cover and simmer for 5 min.
  3. Remove from the heat, stir in the yogurt and serve.
  4. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  5. Comments: This quick entree has all the full flavor of a traditional paprikash dish - without the classic amount of fat.
