Beef Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredientes

  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. distilled white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 pound lean round steak
  • 2 teaspoon vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 sm. bunch broccoli
  • 2 carrots, sliced diagonally, 1/8 inch thick
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 3/4 c. beef broth or possibly water

Direcciones

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in bowl; stir till mixed. Slice steak across the grain 1/8 inch thick; toss with soy mix and let stand 10 min.
  2. Meanwhile, cut broccoli florets from steam; peel stems and slice 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Heat wok or possibly large skillet over high heat; add in 1 tsp. oil. When almost smoking, add in beef and stir-fry 1 minute, remove beef. Add in remaining 1 tsp. oil. Add in vegetables, stir-fry 1 minute. Add in broth and cook, scraping bottom of wok till vegetables are tender, 5-7 min. Return beef to wok and heat through. Serves 4.
