- Rehydrate chopped onion in 2 Tbsp. water. Let stand 10 min to soften. Cut beef into 1-inch cubes or possibly cut chicken into serving size pcs. Dredge meat in flour mixed with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet. Add in meat, onion, and 1 Tbsp. paprika; brown meat well on all sides. Add in 1/2 c. water. Cover tightly and simmer till tender, about 1 1/2 hrs for beef or possibly 45 min for chicken, turning occasionally and adding more water if needed.
- To make sauce: In a small saucepan, heat butter. Blend in lowfat milk; cook and stir till thickened. Gradually stir in lowfat sour cream, beating vigorously. Pour sauce over cooked meat in skillet and heat thoroughly, BUT Don't BOIL!
- Serve with warm broad noodles if you like. Yield: 4-6 portions.
