Beef Tips (Crock Pot)

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 pound beef or possibly sirloin tips (cubed)
  • 1/2 c. minced shallots or possibly green onions
  • 2 cans sliced mushrooms, liquid removed or possibly 1/2 pound fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can condensed beef broth (chicken broth works well)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoon tomato paste or possibly ketchup
  • 1/4 c. dry red wine or possibly water
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • Buttered Noodles

Direcciones

  1. Combine 1/2 c. flour with salt and pepper; toss with beef cubes to coat thoroughly. Place in crock pot. Add in shallots and mushrooms. Combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste. Pour over beef and vegetables and stir well. Cover and cook on low setting for 7-12 hrs.
  2. One hour before serving turn to high setting. Make a smooth paste of red wine and 3 Tbsp. flour, stir into crock pot, mixing well. Cover and cook till thickened. Serve over warm buttered noodles.
