Beef With Pea Pods

Ingredientes

  • 1 pound beef steak
  • 4 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. dry sherry
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 tbsp. veg. oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 pound pea pods (or possibly spinach)

Direcciones

  1. Cut beef across grain 1/4 x 2 inches. Mix beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, sherry and sugar. Remove stems, strings from pea pods. Rinse pea pods and dry pat with a towel.
  2. Put 2 Tbsp. oil in warm skillet over high flame. Add in salt, then pods, stirring till pods turn darker green (1 minute). Remove pods.
  3. In skillet add in other 2 Tbsp. oil. Stir in beef and turn till beef is almost cooked (2 min). Add in pea pods and mix thoroughly. Keep crisp and serve. Add in mushrooms, if you like. Substitute green beans, peppers, broccoli, spinach for pods.
