Ingredientes

  • 8 x diagonally cut slices French bread -- 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 lb beef sirloin or possibly flank steak -- cut into thin strips
  • 1 Tbsp. olive or possibly vegetable oil
  • 1 sm green bell pepper -- sliced
  • 1 x clove garlic -- finely minced (1 to 2 cloves)
  • 1 x (14 1/2 oz) can diced tomatoes with Italian-style herbs - undrained
  • 1 x (8 oz) can pizza sauce
  • 1 x (4 1/2 oz) jar sliced mushrooms -- liquid removed

Direcciones

  1. Set oven control to broil. Place bread slices on ungreased cookie sheet.
  2. Spray bread with cooking spray; sprinkle with cheese. Broil with tops 4 to 6 inches from heat 1 to 2 min or possibly till light brown; set aside.
  3. Cut beef into thin strips (beef is easier to cut if partially frzn, about 1 1/2 hrs). Heat oil in 10 inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef, bell pepper and garlic in oil, stirring occasionally, till beef is brown.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, pizza sauce and mushrooms. Cook 2 to 4 min or possibly till warm.
  5. Place 2 toasted bread slices on each of 4 serving plates; top with beef mix.
  6. Yield: 4 servings.
