Ingredientes

  • 2 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Melted butter
  • 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1 c. Dates, minced
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Lemon extract

Direcciones

  1. Servings: 3 to 4 dozen doughnuts
  2. Vegetable oil or possibly shortening for deep-frying
  3. In a bowl, combine beaten Large eggs, sugar and melted butter; beat well. In another bowl, combine flour with baking pwdr, salt and nutmeg. Mix in dates. Add in dry ingredients to egg mix alternately with lowfat milk and lemon extract.
  4. Heat oil in deep-fat fryer to 375 deg F. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls, 2 or possibly 3 at a time, into warm oil and fry till crisp and brown, about 3 min frying time, turning once. Drain on paper towels.
