Ingredientes

  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. Hot water
  • 9 ounce Sugar
  • 2 1/2 ounce Apple preserves
  • 1/2 c. Rum
  • 1 pch Grnd allspice
  • 3 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 ounce Grated chocolate
  • 9 ounce Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 4 1/2 ounce Whole almonds or possibly hazelnuts
  • 1 1/4 ounce Candied lemon peel, diced

Direcciones

  1. Whisk the Large eggs and water till frothy, then add in sugar, a little at a time. Continue whisking till the mix is thick and creamy.
  2. Mix and sift together the flour and baking pwdr.Add in to the Large eggs and mix well, and then gradually add the apple preserves, flavoring, spices, nuts and candied peel.
  3. Spread the mix about 1/4 inch thick in a greased baking sheet.
  4. Preheat oven to very warm for 5 min. Bake at moderate warm oven (375F)
  5. for 15-20 min.
  6. Make an icing with 3 1/2 ounce confectioners sugar and 1-2 Tablespoons warm water or possibly lowfat milk. Ice the bread while it is still warm, and slice into 1 x 2 inch slices.
