Lately, I’ve been making the same ‘ol same ‘ol things and then wondering why I’ve never shared them with you. We make smoothies at least 3 times a week, since the boys are lifting and they are a great source of protein and healthy vitamins. I make them in all variations depending on what’s the best fruits in season or what I have left that I froze in the freezer. But this is the basic recipe I use…
Berry Smoothies
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups vanilla non-fat yogurt
- 3/4 cup POM Pomegranite juice-in any flavor
- 3/4 cup crushed ice*
- 1 banana-cut up
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
DIRECTIONS:
In a blender, add all of the ingredients and blend until smooth and frothy. *If you are using frozen berries, you don’t need to add the ice, if you are using the ice, you may need to add a little water as well to loosen things up.
