Best Buttercream Icing

For icing cakes, flowers and border. Sufficient for a small cake.

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
  • 4 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tbsp. lowfat milk or cream

Direcciones

  1. Cream butter and shortening.
  2. Add in sugar, 1/2 c. at a time, beating after each addition.
  3. Add in vanilla and lowfat milk; beat well.
  4. For cake icing, add in 2 Tbsp. more lowfat milk.
  5. The recipe can be colored, but if you use liquid coloring be careful of the amount of lowfat milk used.
